Site and contact
Calicata is the public name of this website, https://calicata.dev. You can write to us at contacto@calicata.dev.
Calicata is a project run by two founders. Before an engagement is accepted, the proposal will identify the person entering into the contract and invoicing the service.
Commercial service areas do not constitute addresses, offices open to the public or permanent establishments.
Information and contact
The website presents services in web and custom software development, Rust, automation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and Web3. It does not provide an on-site contracting or payment process.
In the current version, ‘Prepare email’ opens the visitor's email application with the information entered: the person must review and send the message there. Opening it does not confirm receipt or book a meeting. Received enquiries will be handled by people. A request for information alone does not confirm our acceptance of an engagement or a delivery date.
The scope and terms of a service will be defined before it begins. Agreements reached by email may have legal effects: the absence of a payment gateway does not prevent a contract from existing.
Scope of activities and proposals
Each proposal will identify the relevant deliverables, exclusions, client requirements, price and taxes, milestones, acceptance criteria and support terms. A general description on the website does not by itself include every possible feature, integration or additional service.
Extensions will be documented and agreed together with their effect on price and schedule. Correcting a failure to meet the agreed scope will not automatically be treated as a billable extension.
Published indicative timelines will be specified for each project. Legal obligations and expressly accepted commitments will remain effective.
Commercial and technical results
Objectives relating to customer acquisition, savings, performance or growth describe the purpose of the work; they do not guarantee sales, profitability, search rankings or inclusion in AI system responses. Estimates require assumptions and data for the specific case.
The use of Rust, automated testing or other technologies does not by itself establish the absence of errors, vulnerabilities or interruptions. This clarification does not reduce the agreed deliverables, statutory guarantees or quality commitments.
Software, integrations and maintenance
Custom development, websites with third-party components and SaaS products may depend on licences, APIs, versions and external services. The proposal must identify relevant dependencies, recurring costs and who administers the accounts.
Hosting, backups, restoration, updates and ongoing support will be defined where they form part of the service. Round-the-clock support and 100% availability are not advertised. The involvement of third parties does not remove Calicata's own obligations.
Accessibility, privacy and security requirements will be specified for the intended use, without excluding applicable mandatory obligations.
Artificial intelligence and automation
AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate results. Each project must define permitted uses, authorised data, tests, human oversight and limits on automated actions.
Confidential client information or personal data will not be entered into external AI tools without first assessing the lawful basis, the provider's terms and the necessary instructions or agreements. A commercial enquiry does not authorise the use of its content to train models.
AI outputs do not in themselves constitute legal, tax, healthcare or investment advice. Uses affecting people's rights or subject to specific regulation will require an assessment of the case before acceptance. This notice does not replace the obligations of those developing or using the system.
Security testing and system access
Any security testing on systems belonging to others will require prior, verifiable and sufficient authorisation from someone entitled to grant it, with defined assets, techniques and boundaries. Client authorisation does not automatically cover third-party infrastructure.
The work must provide for stopping a test, reporting incidents and protecting evidence. An audit reflects the scope and timing of the review; it does not certify absolute security or guarantee detection of every vulnerability.
Do not send passwords, private keys, complete databases or exploitable vulnerability details in the initial contact email. First request a suitable channel.
Web3 development and crypto-assets
References to Web3 describe engineering and integration work. They do not constitute an investment offer, a promise of returns or accreditation to provide regulated financial or crypto-asset services.
Custody of assets or keys, exchange, order execution, investment advice and the issuance or marketing of tokens are not understood to be included in a development engagement. If a feature could involve a regulated activity, its status and the necessary authorisations will be assessed before acceptance.
Networks, smart contracts, oracles and bridges may involve errors, variable costs, third-party failures or transactions that are difficult to reverse. Testing and audits reduce risks within their scope, without removing any applicable responsibilities. Seed phrases will not be requested through the contact email.
Intellectual property and third-party materials
The content, marks and resources on the site are subject to the rights of their respective owners and the applicable licences. Viewing this website does not grant rights to exploit them, without prejudice to uses permitted by law or an applicable licence.
Engagements will distinguish custom development, pre-existing tools and third-party components. Code delivery, its licences and any assignment of rights will be defined in writing; exclusivity will not be claimed over materials that cannot be assigned exclusively.
Designing a brand does not constitute its registration or guarantee availability in every territory. Availability searches and registration procedures must be defined where included. Publishing case studies, logos or testimonials will require the corresponding permissions.
Use of the site and external links
The site must not be used to introduce malicious code, obtain unauthorised access, impersonate others, interfere with its operation or infringe other people's rights.
External links provide access to third-party resources, which are subject to their own terms. Their inclusion does not mean that Calicata controls all their content or endorses all their services. Specific notices of unlawful or harmful content will be handled in accordance with applicable obligations.
Articles and examples should be assessed in light of their date, context and scope. They do not replace a project-specific professional assessment.
Liability and rights that remain protected
Calicata will be liable in accordance with applicable law and the commitments it has accepted. This notice does not exclude liability for intentional misconduct or other liabilities that cannot legally be limited, nor does it waive consumer or data protection rights.
No general financial cap on compensation is established here. The terms of an engagement must be communicated and validly accepted; browsing the website does not automatically amount to accepting contractual terms.
Provider incidents, third-party changes or uses outside the scope will be assessed according to their cause and each party's obligations, without automatic exemptions from liability.
Enquiries, complaints and applicable law
You can report questions, errors or complaints to contacto@calicata.dev, identifying what happened and providing only the necessary information. This channel does not limit other means or actions recognised by law.
Applicable law and jurisdiction will be determined in accordance with the relevant rules. No waiver of jurisdictional rights or mandatory consumer protection in Spain or other countries is imposed.
Future changes to this notice will not retroactively alter contracts already concluded or consent already given.
